Louis Vuitton Denim Baggy PM Review

I finally achieved one of my handbag dreams and bought my first Louis Vuitton bag!

I didn’t want a Neverfull or Speedy because everyone and their mama has those bags.

I wanted a medium sized shoulder bag that a lot of people don’t have.

I found the Louis Vuitton Denim Baggy PM on Youtube, after browsing designer handbag videos.

It instantly brought me back to when I was 12 years old and shopping for my first purse at JcPenney and Sears.

My first purse as a tween was a light khaki corduroy shoulder bag with green trim and cargo pockets in the front.

The structure of the bag is similar to this one by Fossil.

Besides my feelings of nostalgia, what really captured my attention was that the bag is denim.

However, a few years ago, I would have been disgusted if anyone were to give me a denim bag.

I thought they were tacky and too early 2000s.

It took me a while to come to the realization that denim bags alone aren’t tacky, it’s the way that you style them.

Most people(except one of my favorite singers Kali Uchis, who I just found out as the same bag as me) can’t make an all denim outfit fashionable.

I think you can rock a denim bag all year round, but I bought it especially in mind for my summer wardrobe.

During the summer, I like to look casual but still put-together and wear sundresses, midi skirts and culottes.

The Louis’ monogram print and double pockets give it a playful and casual vibe while the leather strap makes it look (Larissa from 90 day fiancé voice) expensiveeeee.

I also like how the bag has feet and gives it some structure because I don’t look super slouchy and baggy purses.

Now, on to where I bought the bag.

I bought the bag from Poshmark and was able to negotiate the price with the seller.

It was my first order from Poshmark and I was pretty nervous because I was buying from a complete stranger and not at a department store, where I could easily return the item if I didn’t like it.

Plus, I was worried about the bag being authentic because they’re a dozens of websites that you can find some pretty good Louis knock-offs.

Luckily, Poshmark inspects and authenticates bags and other items that are over $500 at their headquarters in California, before they send it to you.

It took about a week for my package to arrive and it came packed nicely with a dust bag.

I’ve watched some Youtube videos about Louis Vuitton bags and quite a few people have said that the hardware scratches easily.

So, it was one of the the first things that I inspected when I received my bag.

Luckily, there were no scratches or tarnishing.

The denim feels very thick, but I wouldn’t take it out in the rain because I don’t want it to stain.

I’m also worried about the Vachetta leather strap because Vachetta darkens and ages over time.

So, I’ll probably look into some leather treatment spray and use it on the strap.

I will also be carrying the bag when the weather is milder and not super sunny because sunlight can also darken and age the Vachetta.

Now, the question you all are probably dying to know is , what can this shoulder bag hold?

I was able to fit my cosmetic case, wallet and small journal into this bag and still be left with plenty of room, but if you stuff the bag to the max, the bag will get heavy and uncomfortable on your shoulder.

Overall, I see myself having this bag for years and would rate it a 10/10.
